- Lead/motivate a team of associates and managers to execute the QC process at an automated grocery distribution center.
- Build a high-performing, efficient, and disciplined team
- The QCM will be expected to understand how product flows from suppliers, through the DC and out to the stores.
- Develop strong relationships and influence with cross functional stakeholders across merchants, operations, and our sourcing teams.
- Drive major quality control transformation efforts and system wide strategic initiatives.
- The role also includes expectations on how to positively influence key performance indicators that are unique to QC and reflect day to day process execution as well as product quality.
- The ability to think strategically about how to develop the business and themselves will be key to success in this role.
- A customer-first mindset and the ability to think beyond the walls of the building in making executive decisions.
- Experience in fresh produce quality or food safety in a retail or logistics environment.
- To be successful the candidate will need to be flexible to work based on the needs of the business.
- People leadership and talent development are key to ensuring the continued growth of the QC team in the facility.
- A strong sense of initiative and the ability to apply skills in project management, data analysis and process improvement will ensure that the person is successful in driving strategic initiatives necessary to this role.
