- Weekly financial analysis on each retail market location income statements and meeting with Accounting Manager and Controller on current financials.
- Anticipate and identify risk and opportunities within the retail markets to drive improvements
- Maintain and update current policies and procedures for office manager as required as well as communicating updates to office manager.
- Be a subject matter expert on accounting systems and work as a subject matter expert driving new integrations and developments.
- Be a direct support contact for all retail market locations with accounting questions and processes.
- Provide accounting training to office managers as required.
- Monitor trends of financials for retail markets.
- Meet month end close deadlines and communicate any issues to upper leadership that would cause delays in closing the general ledger
- Works with BU Controller and PGT Accounting team on new market set ups.
- Participates in SOX compliance testing as directed by compliance documentation.
- Assist in creating and monitoring projects for the accounting department.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Assist in preparation of financial reporting packages for retail locations including but not limited to deep dive analytics and explanations and being able to answer questions of retail leadership as they arise.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining a company's long-term assets, ensuring they are properly recorded, depreciated, and accounted for in accordance with accounting standards. This includes tracking asset acquisitions, dispositions, and transfers, as well as calculating and recording depreciation.
- Prepare journal entries, participate in fiscal month-end closing, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Maintaining the accuracy and completeness of vendor information within the ERP system. This includes creating and maintaining vendor records, validating documentation, and ensuring data integrity.
- Responsible for managing the accounting details and activities related to real estate and asset leases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards like GAAP and IFRS. This role involves reviewing lease data, classifying leases, preparing accounting schedules, and managing journal entries.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience at a professional level required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
