Job Description:Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing exciting success and sustainable growth. As a result, we have a full-time position available for an entry-level water/wastewater engineer to work with both our private and public sector clients.Responsibilities include:
Assisting with the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities for municipalities, industries, and investor-owned utilities
Assisting with construction administration associated with facilities
Developing calculations and detailed design documents including drawings and specifications
Collaborating with project managers and clients toward implementation of designs
Writing engineering reports and technical memoranda
Some travel will be required including overnight stays
The successful candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
Relevant internship experience
Knowledge of water/wastewater facilities or conveyance design
Experience with Bluebeam and Excel software
Experience with design calculations related to water/wastewater and odor control design
Knowledge of fluid mechanics
EIT certification or the ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
