Job Description:Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing exciting success and sustainable growth. As a result, we have a full-time position available for an entry-level water/wastewater engineer to work with both our private and public sector clients.Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting with the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities for municipalities, industries, and investor-owned utilities
  • Assisting with construction administration associated with facilities
  • Developing calculations and detailed design documents including drawings and specifications
  • Collaborating with project managers and clients toward implementation of designs
  • Writing engineering reports and technical memoranda
  • Some travel will be required including overnight stays
The successful candidate will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
  • Relevant internship experience
  • Knowledge of water/wastewater facilities or conveyance design
  • Experience with Bluebeam and Excel software
  • Experience with design calculations related to water/wastewater and odor control design
  • Knowledge of fluid mechanics
  • EIT certification or the ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
