The Electrical Panel Assembler is responsible for assembling and wiring industrial control panels according to UL and customer standards. Reports to Design and Production Manager.$21/hr. to $23/hr. DOE
- Preparation of sub panels and enclosures for assembly of electrical components including:
- Component layout according to drawings
- Drilling and tapping of sub panels
- Enclosure cutouts and modifications
- Mounting of external devices onto enclosure
- Assembly of electrical components including:
- Fastening of devices on sub panels and enclosures
- Mounting assembled sub panels into enclosures
- Wiring of electrical components including:
- Cutting, stripping, labeling and termination of wires according to schematics
- Follow established and standardizing wiring and assembly practices.
- Keep production shop clean and orderly and follow standard 5S procedures.
- Keep the Monday.com statuses and information current.
- Adhere to safe working practices and inform Electrical Panel Assembly Team Leader of potential hazards.
- Adept at using computers to receive and provide information:
- Receive and communicate project status through email and web tools
- Completing stock transactions to issue, add and remove parts from jobs
- Working in a team-based environment
- Receive direction from Electrical Panel Assembly Team Leader
- Assist other team members when needed
- Be dependable and give attention to detail and take pride in work produced
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Knowledgeable in reading drawings and electrical schematics
- Dependable and detail oriented
- Perform well in a high paced team environment
- Display a strong mechanical aptitude
- Operate necessary hand and power tools, including forklift or be willing to learn.
- Standing, sitting, unilateral and bilateral movement, reaching, grasping, talking and hearing.
- Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less with the ability to bring objects into sharp focus while reading computer screen.
- Must be able to deal with field conditions that are dusty and hot (105°F).
- Occasionally work on lifts and ladders that are approximately 20’ off the ground.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
