Through maximizing student success, the College seeks to contribute to the economic growth and development of York, Lancaster, and Chester counties and of the State.The Adjunct CNA Instructor - WED performs the following functions:Provide students with course syllabus, grading/attendance policy, and other relevant information in a timely manner; relate instructional materials, discussions, and examples and illustrations; pace the instructor over the academic term; provide students with timely assessments; return assessment results in timely manner; relate assessments to course objectives; follow acceptable department and college grading policies; utilize appropriate instructional technology; maintain a positive environment for optimum student performance. Submit reports in timely manner; practice effective class management; prioritize duties and use time wisely; adhere to class schedules and meeting times; provide effective classroom/lab supervision; maintain accurate records; handle students' work and records in professional manner; perform other duties as required.
  • Associate degree (Nursing)
  • At least two years RN experience including at least one year in the provision in long term care nursing services or care of elderly within the last five years
  • Active, unencumbered Compact RN license or SC RN license
  • Current American Heart Association Provider CPR (Adult & Child)
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
  • At least one year teaching experience preferred
  • Knowledge of instructional methodologies and alternative delivery methods
  • Communication skills to interact verbally and in written form with students, peers, administrators, and the general public
  • Ability to work independently and in groups
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective, cooperative, working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and other professional organizations
  • Ability to multi-task and meet timelines
