
Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) - Locum

- Minimum of 4 shifts per month
- 12-hour shifts (7 pm - 7 am)
- Long-term contract with potential for extension
- Work authorized under any active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
- Open to both local and travel locum candidates
- Day or Night shifts available
- 1099 Locum/Contract

- Open to local and travel-based providers
- Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages
- Perform medical evaluations, diagnose conditions, and implement treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including specialists, nurses, and support staff
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- May provide guidance to support staff and contribute to departmental leadership
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Physicians must have completed an Emergency Medicine residency, or completed a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine or other residency with 1.5 years of Emergency Medicine experience.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
- Active, unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Emergency Medicine
- Current and valid BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications will be required
- Current DEA license with eligibility to prescribe medications
- Certification of education (copy of diploma or transcripts required)
- U.S. Citizenship and current residence in the continental United States
- Must not require visa sponsorship (no visa holders or green card residents)
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Willingness to comply with all federal and state medical regulations
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- A valid driver's license may be needed
- Commitment to patient-centered care and culturally sensitive practice
