- Installs, maintains, and repairs all refrigeration and HVAC units/systems.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots issues with refrigeration and HVAC units.
- Performs daily routine and preventive maintenance based on best practices.
- Performs routine inspections of the equipment.
- Replaces or repairs defective components.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Performs refrigeration installation and maintenance tasks on maintenance and construction projects.
- Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on refrigeration and cooling equipment in accordance with the preventative maintenance program.
- Maintains refrigeration inventory level, notifying leadership when parts and maintenance supplies need to be ordered.
- Adjusts boiler or refrigeration system’s pressures through adjustment of controls.
- Acts as mechanical, technical and operational support to all refrigeration pneumatics, hydraulics and boilers for the facility.
- Monitors operation of plant equipment and building systems to ensure proper maintenance and care and to reduce down-time and costs.
- Analyzes refrigeration malfunctions from performance and test equipment readings and determines appropriate repairs.
- Stays current on latest technology pertaining to Refrigeration, Pneumatics, Hydraulics and Boilers
- Checks air compressors, pumps, refrigeration rooms and freezers.
- Assures compliance to refrigeration, pneumatics, hydraulics and boilers standards set forth by maintenance management, State & Federal regulations.
- Follows all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Ensures that local, state and federal regulations are met for the asset at all times.
- Communicates directly with leadership to coordinate maintenance and repairs.
- Ensures asset cleanliness including organized and safe shop environment for co-workers.
- Assists with asset improvements and expansions.
- Assists with projects.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Minimum High School diploma, with vocational education and/or hands-on experience.
- EPA 608 or Universal Certification (preferred)
- Technical degree in HVAC with two years of service experience OR three years of HVAC service experience (preferred)
- 2 years of related building asset maintenance and repairs experience.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing heat pumps, refrigeration and commercial HVAC systems.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing low voltage, single phase & three phase electrical circuits, plumbing and other building systems.
- Mechanical equipment experience, basic plumbing repair skills, basic electrical safety, troubleshooting, and repair skills.
- Familiar with standards, concepts, practices, procedures in the area of facilities and maintenance, special events.
- Excellent listening, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Understanding of importance of maintenance records & work orders.
- Computer and software basic comprehension.
- Ability to work safely hand-in-hand with others or alone affecting repairs as needed.
- Must be able to move within and around buildings.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least forty (40) pounds regularly and sixty (60) pounds occasionally.
- Requires frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing and walking.
- Own and properly use basic hand tools.
- Familiar with proper use and maintenance of portable power tools.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends to support both ANDMORE owned markets (required) and the non-market events that occur in The Expo @ World Market Center Las Vegas & in the overall campus (as needed).
- Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions (rain, snow, wind, extreme heat or cold) as needed.
