Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.ResponsibilitiesThe Machine Operator will set up and run light industrial semi-automated equipment to make a variety of medical devicesOperate in-house machines safely – identify emergency stops and stop the process when safety issues are identified, and report safety concernsParticipate in loading, packaging, and labeling operations in a routine and repetitious manner prior to shipmentAssemble goods on production lineStart and maintain machines, observe for correct operation, and adjust as neededMove empty and full bags/totes/boxes to and from the machine, add labels/weigh product/verify count/add to box/insert into shipper as needed, and stack onto palletReview in-process/finished material while operating – inform designated teammates of any machine malfunction or defective productMaintain cleaning documentation and safety check documentation in the company systemPractice department’s medical manufacturing and housekeeping procedures and complete cleaning verification checklists as requiredRead, write, comprehend, and follow specifications, procedures, and instructions written in EnglishCollaborate effectively with team members, utilizing strong interpersonal skills to foster a positive and productive team environmentAssist with other duties as assigned with or without accommodationWork overtime as requiredQualifications0-1 years of experience, preferredHigh School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferredWhat is expected of you and others at this levelApplies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasksReadily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned areaMaintains appropriate licenses, training and certificationsWorks on routine assignments that require some problem resolutionWorks within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methodsAdheres to all quality guidelinesWorks under moderate degree of supervisionWork typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisorRefers complex unusual problems to supervisor#LI-LG1Candidates who are back-to-work, people with disabilities, without a college degree, and Veterans are encouraged to apply.Cardinal Health supports an inclusive workplace that values diversity of thought, experience and background.
