Primary PurposeEvaluates information systems, platforms, and operating procedures in accordance with established corporate standards for efficiency, accuracy and security. Evaluates IT general controls in terms of risk to the organization and establishes controls to mitigate loss. Determines and recommends improvements in current risk management controls and implementation of system changes or upgrades.What you will be doing:
  • Develops and executes internal IT compliance testing program, with oversight from manager. This includes: application assessments, internal IT controls and compliance reviews; and remediation testing of issues identified during regulatory inspections or internal assessments.
  • Proactively identifies technology risks and develops recommendations for improvements to mitigate risks and bring programs and operations into compliance with the goals and objectives of the Information Security Program.
  • Evaluates and analyzes issues or recommendations for improvements in processes; and communicates results to management and other key stakeholders. • Participates in annual risk assessment activities and in other regulatory or compliance assessment activities.
  • Continually reviews and improves the application assessment methodology, process, and procedures.
  • Assists in developing and administering ongoing IT compliance monitoring and governance activities.
  • Partners with internal business clients to evaluate the effectiveness of IT controls. With support from IT compliance, Internal audit, and business partners, defines and implement corrective action plans.
  • Assists in managing audit requests from vendors, internal & external audit, and security teams.
  • Trains systems owners and IT professionals on IT controls and tools. Decision Making Authority • Receives general direction and exercises some independent judgment.
What we hope you bring to the role:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2-8 years of equivalent/applicable work experience
  • 2-5 years of IT security, IT compliance, or IT risk management experience required, preferably with public accounting firm or within a large organization with structured risk & compliance processes and procedures.
  • Security certification is highly preferred (CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, etc.)
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory compliance and controls including SOX, SSAE 16, and ISAE 3402.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and flowcharting tools such as Visio. Advanced experience in Excel using pivot tables, formulas, and data conversion processing.
