Join a fast-growing manufacturer of architectural metal products as a Machine Operator specializing in bar saw operation. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for machine setup, operation, and precision cutting. You’ll work closely with a collaborative shop team to maintain high-quality production standards and meet daily goals in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up a bar saw machine to cut materials according to specifications
- Accurately measure materials using calipers, squares, protractors, and other tools
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate cuts and quality production
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed for efficiency and safety
- Follow all safety and quality protocols set by the company
- Assist with various shop tasks and rotate duties based on daily workload
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment to support smooth production
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating saws or similar machinery
- Prior experience in the sheet metal or manufacturing industry preferred
- Comfortable using precision measuring tools and reading blueprints
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the shift
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Strong verbal communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to work overtime and adapt to shifting priorities as needed
- Physically demanding role requiring standing for long periods
- Must be able to lift or maneuver up to 50 lbs regularly
- Fast-paced manufacturing shop with multiple active workstations
