Our client, a leader in metal processing, is seeking a Set Up Operator - Slitter Line to join their team. As a Set Up Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting the manufacturing team. Set up and adjust metal processing machines such as shears, presses, rollers, and CNC equipment according to production specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to ensure accurate machine setups.
Select and install appropriate dies, fixtures, and tooling for production runs.
Perform test runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper machine operation.
Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues during production to maintain efficiency.
What's Needed?
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or metal processing environment.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
