Reports to: Manager, Test EngineeringWe are looking for a Video Hardware Mechanical Test Engineer who will be responsible for verifying the performance of the hardware we develop. Not only will you focus on test execution of a wide array of technologies, but you will also work with the broader cross-functional team to develop and document test strategies, acquire and present results, and exercise your creativity to develop automated test systems for new and existing products.As a test engineer in the Video Hardware team, you will use your experience and skills to:
  • Work with multidisciplinary engineering teams such as electrical design, mechanical design and software to understand design objectives and performance targets
  • Architect mechanical automation fixturing to support the verification of products such as Body Cameras, Fleet automotive hardware, Drones, and more
  • Develop design verification plans and test procedures to ensure confidence prior to high volume manufacturing
  • Participate in proactive risk mitigation activities such as FMEAs
  • Perform design verification tasks, document test results and performance of mechanical systems
  • Present test results and finding to broad stakeholders across the organization
Work Location: This role is based out of our Scottsdale, AZ office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation.   • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Bachelors degree or 5 years with Associates
  • Experience with testing mobile, wearable or connected electronic products
  • Experience designing and operating automated test fixtures
  • Ability to create detailed test plans and procedural documents
  • Ability to work hands-on in a laboratory environment
  • Comfortable using mechanical design tools to create automated test fixtures
  • Collaboration with peers in a candid cross-functional team culture
