- Create ingredient statements and nutrition fact panels.
- Review and approve raw material and formula compliance through FDA regulations and standards within PLM.
- Independently create and validate technical lab copy by applying global regulations and standards of nutrition and food science.
- Provide ingredient, formula, claim, labeling, and regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams on commercialization projects.
- Offer proactive and risk-based regulatory recommendations on ingredient, formula, claim, and labeling to stakeholders.
- Review, register, and certify raw materials and finished goods with third-party certification bodies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory standards in label content.
- Work within SAP PLM to review and approve ingredients, formulas, and graphics.
- Research and stay informed of upcoming regulatory changes and assess risks in commercialization projects.
- Partner with external regulatory experts to build internal expertise.
- Develop SOPs and related trainings.
- Co-lead third-party certification audits.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a food regulatory position, following US and global regulations.
- Proficiency in CFR21, FDA, SAP, and food regulatory requirements.
- Experience with EU, Asia, or South American food regulations.
- Ability to write ingredient statements and nutrition fact panels.
- Experience reviewing ingredients, formulas, and graphics.
- Familiarity with PLM or SAP systems, Dragonfly, and food label review software.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Adaptability and flexibility to change.
- Strong prioritization and time management skills.
