Department: GIFT SHOPSchedule: Part Time- 32 hours per week- rotating shifts with some evenings & weekends expected- Gift Shop hours are M-F 9a-7:30p, Sat/Sun 10a-4p. Hours may vary based on needs.Hospital: Henry Ford Providence - Novi, MIGENERAL SUMMARY
  • Receive and disburse money for services.
  • Receive payment by cash, check, credit card and debit card and issue receipts, change, credits or refunds to customers.
  • Operate cash registers and ensure accurate and efficient accounts of all transactions.
  • Balance cash receipts and count cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure correct balance.
  • In retail setting, assist with the receiving, unpacking, stocking, displaying, pricing, and sale of merchandise.
  • Maintain clean and organized checkout area.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. - Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Engaging personality. -
  • Three years previous retail experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills to operate the register.
  • Basic math skills for sales transactions.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
