Job Summary:We are looking for a personable, skilled, and experienced IT Technician to join our team at Edgemere, an upscale senior living community, located in Dallas, Texas. The IT Technician assists in providing hardware and software support to the community. Position is responsible coordinating with internal and external resources to resolve trouble tickets, assist with technical planning and implementation of system improvements.Compensation & Benefits:This is a full-time, hourly position.   • Desktop support including hardware and software installation, troubleshooting and other questions with patience and attention to detail in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Maintain network printers, MFPs, and other peripherals.
  • Familiar with network closets, understand the components of network racks, assist with installation, cabling, troubleshooting network switches, phone system, UPS, and various AV equipment. Understand network and voice patch panel/cabling.
  • Accountable for logging all trouble tickets, details on work performed and related communication.
  • Serve as company liaison for multiple technical vendors, understand how to route and escalate problems to respective contacts on the company's behalf.
  • Assist with the technical planning and implementation support for changing, upgrading, or replacing equipment to provide better overall service; provide better response time; or reduce costs to satisfy facility objectives.
  • Responsible for special projects as assigned with the ability to meet established deadlines.
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in end-user computer support, including desktop and laptop configuration and software maintenance.
  • A+ Certification and courses completed in PC troubleshooting or repair preferred.
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience troubleshooting printers and peripheral devices, iPhones, iPads.
  • Knowledge of IT concepts, including thorough network PC hardware/software, computer network operation and troubleshooting, wireless networks, network switching.
  • Experience managing network data and telephony racks, network, and telephone cabling.
