We are growing rapidly and looking for high performers at every level to grow with us.POSITION SUMMARY:The Hockey Program Lead is responsible for all hockey related activities, such as leagues, events, Learn-to-Play, hockey camps/clinics, teams, as well as supervising hockey instructors and scorekeepers. This position is responsible for creating a first-class programming experience for all participants, coaches, officials, and spectators across all our offerings.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Directly align with the SFM Statement and Core Values
Provide effective training, workflow structure, and leadership for hockey programming
Oversee the recruitment and training of hockey coaches; actively recruit new players and teams
Effectively manage all aspects of the program/camp registration process; create efficient purchasing/registration experience for all programming customers
Assist in creating a fair and competitive playing experience for all participants
Coordinate with Skate School Lead for scheduling ice time and programs
Build relationships and communicate effectively with guests; ensure teams and guests keep locker room neat and clean
Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for guests and team members
Serve as MOD as necessary
Other duties as assigned by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience and success in customer service and programming administration preferred
3+ years in the hockey industry required
USA Hockey Certified Coach required
Must have experience in programming setup
Must have knowledge of recreational/facility management software programs
Must have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Must be a team player
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
Must have excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours)
Must possess current CPR/AED/First Aid certification or must be willing to obtain them within 90 days of hire
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high
May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend
Will be required to work in cold environments for extended periods of time
