Description :POSITION: Specialist, Resident AccountsCOMPENSATION: Pursuant to California regulations, if this job is performed in CA, the salary range is $32-$35 per hour plus bonus potential​Eligible to participate in the . We offer a 401(k) retirement plan, student loan assistance, licensing and continuing education reimbursement, parental leave, and housing allowances or gifts.REPORTS TO: Community ManagerSUMMARY:As a Resident Accounts Specialist, you are primarily responsible for rent collection, delinquency notices, resident communications, and accounts payable at one of Capstone Management Partners’ on-campus communities. Through a strategic partnership between Capstone Management Partners (CMP) and Cardinal Group Management, we are providing for-purpose on-campus student housing management across the United States. CMP is focused on providing customized management services specific to university partners who prefer to outsource operations and facilities management while maintaining control over residential life services. For this reason, CMP is primarily focused on affiliated campus edge and on-campus student housing facilities. CMP combines the strength and experience of a nationally renowned housing development and asset management company with the skills, efficiencies, and procedures of one of the most innovative and prolific student housing property managers in the country, Cardinal Group Management.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to):
  • Manage the automated issuance of rent reminders and delinquency notices to residents.
  • Initiate phone and email communications with delinquent residents and any co-applicants or guarantors.
  • Support future and current residents with ledger discrepancies and the posting/removal of charges at the direction of the Community or Portfolio Manager.
  • Provide resources for payment plans and rental assistance programs where applicable.
  • Issuance of move-out statements to vacating residents.
  • Processing of community accounts payable and accounts receivables, including the posting of all purchase orders and invoices for assigned communities.
  • Oversee the vendor credentialing process for new and unregistered vendor through our credentialing platform, Vendor Credentialing
  • Submission of expense reclassifications and accruals as directed by property accounting team for monthly financial reporting.
  • Assist with lease and charge audits.
  • Offer efficient and courteous responses to all resident and community requests.
  • Pursue educational opportunities and developmental growth opportunities
  • Other responsibilities as assigned or required based on the needs of the business.
  • Participates in Cardinal U training as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in property management
  • 1 - 2 years of experience with property-level accounting and resident account management
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required, a bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Maintains a consistent level of professional customer service.
  • Excellent written communication skills, especially short form for easily digestible with pointed, relevant information
  • Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to details and perform tasks with consistent accuracy
  • Working knowledge of Entrata is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
