The Analyst, Benefits at Tao Group Hospitality will help to oversee team member benefits programs and leave administration. This person will collaborate with the People Practices Benefits team to oversee the day-to-day administration, compliance, and maintenance of our benefits, leave and 401K programs. Responsibilities include processing employee data, producing benefits related reports and ensuring compliance with for all benefits programs. This role will also be integral part of the business helping to explain our benefits programs to our growing population of team members. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with databases and HR software like payroll systems, timekeeping systems and Applicant Tracking Systems, 401K programs, and benefits vendor service portals.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Coordinate benefits events, such as benefits orientation, open enrollment, and communications
  • Review and approve employees' information for benefit purposes such as Qualifying Event, address/name/beneficiary changes in the benefits administration program and keep information updated in designated areas
  • Administer benefit enrollments and terminations for the various employee benefits programs, such as group health, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, EAP, COBRA and 401(k) plan
  • Ensure company remains in compliance with Federal and State regulations within the related field
  • Works closely with integration teams and HRIS service providers to ensure proper configuration of new and existing benefit plans in systems
  • Generate, retain, and review for accuracy confirmation of enrollment with monthly premium and retro charges
  • Oversee the monitoring of the deductions and arrears benefits billing
  • Resolve employee concerns, in a timely manner, by thoroughly researching and investigating the issue(s) and reporting the finding back to the employee
  • Administer audits, processes, and tracking of benefit-related invoices to ensure accuracy of charges and prompt payment
  • Administer new hire process through enrollment of new hire benefits and ensuring election of company benefits within 30 days of their hire date
  • Administer the accuracy of data while working closely with service providers to ensure timely filing to the IRS while complying with Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting requirements
  • Oversee COBRA administration
  • Review and process of all Medical Leaves for union and non-union employees.
  • Assist with workers' compensation leaves and filings
  • Ensure programs and policies are in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.).
  • Assist with administration and compliance for 401K plan and enrollments
  • Assist and/ or complete additional tasks as assigned
EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:
  • Strong understanding of local and national policies and regulations.
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain effective and communication-based partnerships with business stakeholders
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in benefits/leaves programs
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with 401k administration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft programs with proficiency Excel; with the ability to create reports from raw data using multiple program functions
  • Proficient in HRIS systems knowledge preferred
  • Associates degree required with an emphasis in hospitality and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
