This individual will oversee the financial planning, budgeting, risk management, and reporting functions, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. The Controller will also be a strategic partner to the Executive Director and Board of Directors, contributing to the organization's overall success.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial strategy, planning, and analysis to support organizational growth and sustainability
- Manage annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
- Oversee accounting, finance, and audit functions, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Provide financial insights and reports to the Board of Directors and leadership team
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and optimize resources
- Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within a non-profit organization
- Strong knowledge of non-profit accounting principles (GAAP), budgeting, and financial reporting
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills
- Proficiency in advanced accounting software systems
