As the 3rd Shift Production Supervisor, you will lead and support your team to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets. You'll manage daily workflow, drive improvements, coordinate with other departments, oversee budgets, and resolve production issues. Flexibility to work the 3rd shift and ensure compliance with policies and agreements is essential.Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coach production team members to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets.
  • Coordinate daily workflow to ensure efficient material and manpower utilization.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement plans for equipment and processes.
  • Monitor and manage the department budget, focusing on cost control and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, and Quality departments to support production goals.
  • Conduct regular meetings to communicate goals, updates, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, work rules, and union agreements.
  • Make daily decisions on production schedules and personnel issues impacting delivery and quality.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • 3+ years of automotive manufacturing experience; 5 to 7 years of supervisory experience preferred, especially in heat treating, metal finishing, or working with metals.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, and ISO procedures is required.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information and handle difficult situations professionally across all organizational levels.
  • Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and work instructions.
  • Proficient in business math related to production and inventory management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply logical and scientific thinking to complex issues, including interpreting formulas, graphs, and abstract variables.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), internet communications, measurement systems and analysis, print interpretation, and MRP/ERP systems.
