This employee will need to be able to fulfill 40hrs/wk in order to manage all front desk operations including but not limited to phones, scheduling, insurance verifications, faxing/scanning, quality assurance, cleaning/sanitizing, assisting with laundry, and patient aide work as appropriate.Location: 884 Rand Rd, Lake Zurich ILPosition Type: Full TimeSchedule: Monday-FridayCompensation: Hourly Rate - $18.00 - $21.00/hour based on experience

When patients enter our outpatient physical therapy center, we want them to have an exceptional experience – starting at the front desk. That’s where you come in. As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and business side of our center.   • Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
  • Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
  • Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications
  • Regular communication with parties such as therapists, insurance companies, attorney offices, translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team
QualificationsQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1 Year of Medical Office Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Insurance Verification Experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and patients
  • Ability to multi-task phone, computer, and in-person interactions
  • Ability to use computer scheduling software (with appropriate training)
  • Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written direction
  • Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions
  • Appropriate manual dexterity to enable typing (including 10-key) and mouse use throughout a work day/shift
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shift
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanics
  • Ability to carry office supplies up to 10lbs
