Come and experience your future!The Radar and Sensor Systems (RSS) Market Segment is seeking a mid-level contracts negotiator to provide contract negotiation and administration support for our ground-based and maritime radar sub-market segments. This individual will be responsible for day-to-day contract administration and leading contract negotiation, ensuring that all obligations are met as well as providing support for proposals. The candidate must be a strategic thinker, able to effectively coordinate with the Lockheed Martin program, technical, and business management teams. In addition, the successful candidate will evaluate contract performance to determine the necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts and compliance with contractual obligations. They will maintain communications to ensure timely contract execution by the parties and ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached during negotiations.Basic QualificationsFederal contracting, negotiation, and administration experience with USG DoD contracts.- Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). Knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) a plus.- Experience in Contracts or a related function- Qualified candidates must be able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance. This requires US Citizenship.Desired skills- Team player who is a problem solver and self-starter.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments concurrently.
- Ability to complete tasks with limited oversight and supervision.
- Business acumen with the ability to
identify risk elements in business transactions,
think analytically, and provide effective guidance
towards resolving contractual issues.
- Professional certification(s), such as the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM)
