Mechanical Design Engineer

- Work with a team of driven designers and engineers to meet project and client needs and goals
- Resolve a variety of complex issues, (i.e., challenging design requirements, requirements for unconventional materials, difficult coordination requirements, etc.) and serve as a liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design team disciplines
- Perform engineering calculations, review project contract documents, energy simulation, ventilation and heat load calculations, code reviews, field survey activities, construction administration and commissioning
- Develop engineering plans and drawings to define the design requirements for construction
- Coordinate projects with Local, City, State, and County codes and officials
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required

- Ability to take the initiative and participate in a cooperative team environment
- Ability and interest to work in a multidisciplinary, geographically diverse team environment

- Familiarity with AutoDesk products, including AutoCAD and REVIT is a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar field from an ABET accredited program is required
- EIT preferred and/or pursuits to obtain professional engineering licensure
- 0-5 years of experience related to a combination of building HVAC, building mechanical, plumbing, commissioning, central plant design, facilities construction, and other associated industries
- Previous related working experience is a plus, which may include work done concurrent to completion of engineering degree program including engineering and/or construction experience
- Commissioning certification and experience is a plus
- LEED accreditation is a plus
