Job Description:Senior Application EngineerCandidate is responsible for engineer complex systems for Industrial Automation and Building Management Systems for the Data Center segment. Preparation of complex technical solutions to satisfy customer needs and develop turnkey products and services from design through manufacturing. Candidate will be technical resource during installation. The candidate will define equipment and installations per contractual technical clauses with cost, project timeframe and ensuring customer satisfaction.Education/Experience Required:· Bachelors of science in engineering discipline or equivalent work experience is required· Knowledge of Data Center environment is a plus·* Experience with automation systems· Knowledge of Mechanical Systems·* AutoCAD DraftingKey Responsibilities:· Aid sales/project management/deployment manager· Interface as technical contact with customers· Work with design team to deliver drawings to customers· Creation of accurate bills of materials· Creation of accurate flow/system diagrams (P&ID)· Create Engineering packages that are to customer specificationsSkills & Abilities:· Design control systems based on customer documentation· Creation of control panel layouts and electrical schematics· Analysis of electrical and mechanical schematics· Ability to read MEP and 3rd Party drawings/schematics· Selection of peripheral sensors/control devices· Creation of device/equipment schedules· Creation of installation/wiring details· Damper Actuator sizing· Valve sizing· VFD selection· Bluebeam Review· Programming in control systems is an advantagePersonal Attributes Required:· Must be flexible and able to alternate between jobs as workload dictates· Ability to work independently and stay busy in a fast-paced environment· Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion· Self-motivated with strong organizational skills· Good track record of obtaining results with minimal supervision in a fast-paced team environment· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail· Good interpersonal team skills for teamwork, respect, courtesy, tact, and discretion· Potential to accommodate some domestic/international travelSchneider Electric offers a robust benefits package to support our employees such as flexible work arrangements, paid family leave, 401(k)+ match, and more.
