- As a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, GA Dimensional Engineering, you will be responsible for ensuring that all manufactured parts and assemblies meet precise dimensional specifications and quality standards.
- The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge in dimensional measurement, quality control processes, and the ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
- You will work closely with the design team to design fixtures that are functional, accurate, efficient, and cost-effective.
- Blueprint & CAD Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and other design documents to ensure proper measurements and tolerances are understood and adhered to in the production process
- Fixture Integration: Understanding how fixtures integrate with other manufacturing equipment, robots, conveyors, and tools, ensuring smooth operation across the assembly line
- Process Flow and Ergonomics: Ability to design fixtures that align with the assembly line's process flow, ensuring they're easy to use for operators and don't create bottlenecks
- Work with cross-functional teams to recommend, evaluate and make design and process improvement proposals
- Work closely with design and manufacturing engineers to develop, validate and incorporate Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements
- Collaboration: Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and engineering teams to provide technical input on design feasibility, manufacturability, and dimensional considerations
- GD&T Application: Expertise in interpreting and applying GD&T standards to fixture design, ensuring that parts fit and function according to precise dimensional specifications
- Tolerance Stack-up Analysis: Ability to evaluate and minimize tolerance stack-ups in the fixture design, which can affect the final assembly's quality and performance
- This team is a part of the Manufacturing & Engineering umbrella.
- Their main focus is on quality standards of client products.
- The team will identify any product changes, contacts vendors companies for parts, place Purchase Orders and design any new equipment required for manufacturing.
- After finalization, the team will hand-over the updated products to maintenance and manufacturing team to put into production.
- The day to day will never replicate one another and there are constant changes happening on the team.

- Years of Experience Required: 5 overall years of experience in the field.
- Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, STEM or related field, or equivalent relevant education preference
- Disqualifiers: Candidates not local to Arizona & do not have hard skill requirements.
- Best vs. Average: Ability to cross-collaborate and provide innovative thinking and ideas.
- Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines and quality of work.
- Minimum 5 years experience with Strong level GD&T qualification (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance)
- Minimum 5 years Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Minimum 5 years experience with Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy
- Expected Dates that Hard Skills Assessments will be scheduled: ASAP
- Hard Skills Assessment Process: The assessment process will include 2 rounds - 1 with a teammate, 1 with manager
- Required Candidate Preparation: N/A
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, STEM or related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a dimensional engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong level GD&T qualification
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and measurement analysis software is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Ability to identify and resolve dimensional and quality issues
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members, management, and external vendors
- Certification in dimensional measurement or quality control (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma)
- Experience with advanced metrology tools and techniques
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other quality management systems
