You will work across diverse systems and domains, contributing to the design and development of critical backend services supporting Walmart's digital ecosystem, from checkout and fulfillment to user engagement journeys.What You'll Do:Architect, design, and develop scalable backend services and APIs to support complex digital experiencesCollaborate with cross-functional teams across domains, including product, frontend, data, and UX teams, to design solutions that enhance the customer journeyLead technical initiatives, including solution architecture, performance tuning, and system scalability enhancementsOptimize application performance and ensure high code qualityMentor junior engineers and drive knowledge sharing within the teamAdvocate for best practices in services architecture, security, and testingImplement and maintain secure, high-performance, and fault-tolerant distributed systemsDevelop reusable frameworks and components for backend service integrationsMaintain high code quality through automated testing, continuous integration, and code reviewsTroubleshoot and resolve production issues across complex servicesBuild scalable and reliable systems that handle large volumes of traffic and dataWrite clean, efficient, and maintainable code while following engineering best practicesDebug and troubleshoot issues in distributed systems across environmentsContribute to performance optimization, security improvements, and system resilienceParticipate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peersWhat you'll bring:6 to 9 years of total experience of which 5+ years in Backend engineering platform development5+ years of experience in Java technologies, Distributed systems and large-scale application development and designHands on experience Spring Boot, REST, Kafka, CassandraExperience with containerization technology and MicroservicesWell versed in CI/CD, DevOps practices, and monitoring toolsWork with Java, Multithreading, Data Structures, Algorithm, Design Patterns and develop robust high- performance and scalable applicationsStrong adherence to SLDC process and Scrum/agile methodologiesAbout Walmart Global Tech
