  • Rotate in departments related to the trade to complete 8000 on-the-job training hours and successfully complete related classroom instruction specific to the trade
  • Work closely with a Mechanic (Electrician) in conducting preventative and corrective maintenance of the building, machinery and equipment
  • Completes work-orders in a timely and efficient manner under the supervision of a journeyperson, attends classes as required for apprenticeship, and troubleshoots equipment
  • Requires a highly motivated individual who is willing to learn and apply acquired skills
  • Overtime as well as weekend and holiday work hours are required
Your Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical and/or Electrical aptitude and knowledge
  • Hands-on learner
  • Enthusiastic about their career in skilled trades
  • Excellent communication ability (written & verbal)
  • Positive work ethic
  • Problem solving skills
  • Math

  • The Schaeffler Apprenticeship Program is State certified through Apprentice Ohio and nationally recognized. The Schaeffler Apprenticeship Program is the largest registered manufacturing program in the State of Ohio. The University of Akron delivers the classroom instruction required for the program. Schaeffler covers 100% of the tuition costs and offers an optional college credit track.
