How you'll make an impactRole Overview:Reporting directly to the General Counsel & EVP, Delivery & Analytics, the Sr. Director, Risk Solutions Sales will have overall responsibility for business development and marketing activity and to lead the generation of new business for the Risk Solutions team. This position will also be responsible for managing client relationships, executing on risk strategies, and ensuring quality delivery of services to optimize our clients’ total cost of risk. The Sr. Director, Risk Solutions will develop client relationships and assist the team to implement strategies, complete the annual risk management processes, negotiate third party agreements, manage client documentation, and fulfil reporting requirements.Responsibilities:Business Development:
  • Identify opportunities to develop and strengthen relationships to advance the business.
  • Innovate with new ideas, concepts and efficiencies to expand market reach.
  • Lead prospective client relationships from introduction through to establishment as a client.
  • Maintain a database of business producers/contacts, client opportunities and pipeline enquiries.
  • Manage client, external vendor and supplier relations to increase business visibility and reputation.
  • Lead presentations to internal or client executives and management teams to highlight business or marketing opportunities or to present the results of new strategies.
  • Lead the preparation of documents and information in regards to business growth opportunities.
  • Liaise with the General Counsel & EVP, Risk Solutions to implement strategic objectives.
  • Follow all policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations and internal risk control standards. Assisting the Compliance Officer with remedial actions for any client related non-compliance occurrences.
Marketing:
  • Drive the creation and implementation of the Artex marketing strategy, recommending improved strategies to expand market reach and assisting with the introduction of new business campaigns.
  • Work with the Artex Marketing Department in the creation of marketing literature, Artex website content, business social media and contribute to articles for insurance market media.
General Responsibilities:
  • Act as an executive sponsor for all assigned clients to ensure the delivery of quality services to optimize total cost of risk.
  • Aid in managing the strategic aspects of client engagements for large and complex clients.
  • Collaborate with and foster partnerships between clients, brokers, underwriters, internal claims management and risk management teams and other parties.
  • Expand risk management knowledge and skills by participating in thought leadership and/or deepening specialized knowledge about topics including, but not limited to, business continuity plannings, and enterprise risk management.
  • Define team goals, track progress, and manage activities to achieve goals.
  • Set performance expectations and provide regular feedback.
  • Create a team-based environment that reinforces the company’s values of intelligence, integrity, consistency, energy, advocacy, service, and respect.
About You
  • Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management or related field.
  • Associate in Risk Management preferred
  • Significant knowledge of Commercial Insurance and Risk Management.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience of managing senior client relationships.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, communication and liaison skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
  • Advanced computer literacy skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage teams, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Highly motivated individual who is deadline driven, innovative and committed to delivering an excellent level of client service.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel.
