Maintenance Technician

Essential Functions:

Inspect, clean, and evaluate all Production Tooling in preparation for Production runs.
Inspect, clean, evaluate and properly maintain Production Tooling following Production runs
Identify issues in tolerance, performance, etc. during the inspection and evaluation process
Assembly & disassembly of high-precision tooling precisely following specified processes and procedures
Complete required documentation including recording of precision measurements, etc.
Interact with support activities (Maintenance, Tool Room, Process, etc.) to identify and determine corrective actions required to return all tooling torequired performance levels.

Required Skills/Abilities/Experience:

Able to read machine prints and determine proper equipment required to fabricate the desired item
Fabrication and maintenance of trim dies, details, etc.
Fabrication and maintenance of thermoforming tooling both conventional and trim-in place.
Use of traditional metal fabrication equipment including lathes, mills, grinders, etc.
Use of precision measurement devices
Understand proper tolerance of components for thermoforming, punching plastic parts, etc.
Basic lifting & rigging principles and practices
Must be capable of working with others to achieve the shift production targets.
Ability to work overtime as required to achieve timing goals
Ability to teach and mentor other team members as necessary

Education and Experience:

High School diploma
Completion of a trade school apprenticeship (desired but not required)
Journeyman Tool&Die Maker (desired but not required)
5-7yrs of demonstrated work experience (see Required Skills/Abilities/Experience)
