Description :CorVel Corporation, a leading provider of claims management and billing technology, is looking for an energetic IT Support Specialist. The Specialist will report to the ESDM Manager, participating in all assigned activities needed to support the company’s computers, software and dependent.This position is Hybrid, working in our Downtown Portland office 1-2 days each week.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform desktop support functions on a regular basis, supporting computers, phones, and printers.
  • Monitor and proactively respond to alert systems.
  • Complete work assignments and track results using our ticket system.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • In-depth working knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 11) and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience troubleshooting application packages and desktop images.
  • Scripting experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good work ethics as well as an ability to follow a consistent schedule.
  • Should be able to work independently and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve both technical/non-technical issues.
  • Adaptability and willingness to respond to changing priorities.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
  • Prior work experience administering Windows servers including building, configuration, and tuning to optimize performance.
  • Experience in the following technical areas, VDI, Cloud and on-premise endpoint management solutions.
  • Experience in software distribution technologies preferably.
  • College Degree, Microsoft Certification, or 2+ years relevant work experience.
  • Experience in asset ordering and tracking.
PAY RANGE:CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
