Join our team at our Minneapolis location in the charming and historic Mill District neighborhood.This is a Sherman Associates owned Hilton franchised location.The Sales Coordinator supports the sales & marketing operations with the goal of providing excellent customer service, building customer relationships, supporting the group sales team, maximizing rates and over-all revenues for the hotel. The Sales Coordinator partners with members of the sales team and hotel management to ensure that clients receive the best experience at the hotel by providing outstanding customer service on behalf of the property and its ownership.Pay: Starting at $20.00 - $23.00/hour. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position; including experience, skills, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.Essential Functions
  • Ensures every guest is greeted and welcomed on arrival.
  • Registers and book guests, verifying reservation, address, email address and credit information.
  • Pre-assigning rooms to incoming reservations to ensure room type availability and to open opportunity for upsells.
  • Communicate with Housekeeping, Sales & Events team on a continuous basis throughout the day.
  • Proficient on kiosk operations to assist when necessary.
  • Answers all inbound calls in a professional manner.
  • Has an intimate knowledge of the hotel facilities and the local geographic area.
  • Accepts payment for guests' accounts at the time of registration and at checkout.
  • Maintains a house bank and make a deposit and accurate report of receipts daily.
  • Processes all Retail transactions for the guest.
  • Responsible for restocking and assuring overall cleanliness of Retail.
  • Issues luggage claims and check guest luggage when requested.
  • Takes pride in the overall look and feel of the hotel assuring cleanliness and conditions are at their peak at all times.
  • Respectfully listen and respond to guest complaints in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Completes additional duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills:Minimum Requirements
  • High School or equivalent education required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in hospitality related environment, with at least 1 years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions in a multi-lingual environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of the hotel, services, and facilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; Ability to communicate effectively with community partners, vendors / external parties, and across internal divisions.
