Commensurate with State of Oregon requirements of respective academic and/or technical fields: For CTE faculty, this includes the following:
- A minimum of a master's degree in CIS or the equivalent, such as IT or cybersecurity, from an accredited college or university
- A minimum of two (2) years of work/college-level teaching experience in IT or cybersecurity
- Willingness to earn necessary industry certifications (Cisco, CompTIA, EC-Council, and Microsoft) within two years of hiring.
- With either or both in-class and online instruction experiences
- Three years or more of community college teaching experience in IT or cybersecurity
- Three years or more of verifiable work experience related to the IT or cybersecurity field
- Industry Certifications (Cisco, CompTIA, EC-Council, Microsoft, etc.)
- Working knowledge of configuring Cisco routers, switches, and network appliances
- Working knowledge of VMware, AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network or other enterprise virtualization platforms
- Working knowledge of architecting, deploying and troubleshooting network operating systems for Windows Server and/or various Linux OS
- Working knowledge of designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or newer Active Directory Domain Services, group policy management, backup and recovery, and updates
- Basic skill in common computer programming languages such as Python, SQL, etc.
- Ability to teach courses in artificial intelligence (ML/DL, NLP, DV, and data science), in addition to operating systems, Cisco networking, and cybersecurity
