- Knowledge of and ability to implement applicable International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR) regulations.
- Functions as a corporate environmental leader. Support in maintaining all environmental programs required for bakery operation from local, state, and federal agencies. Programs will include compliance with the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Wastewater Permitting, Handling/Disposal of hazardous materials (fluorescent lighting, batteries, etc.).
- Developer and Owner of network wide Food Grade Lubrication program.
- Owns and executes the Contractor Safety Management process.
- Supports recordkeeping and training requirements for all components of the Process Safety Management PSM/Risk Management Plans to achieve compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Support in-house and contractor technical analysis services to provide real-time data on the status of refrigeration and operational equipment. Technical analysis will include but not limited to infrared scanning, vibration analysis, ultrasound, X-ray and energy consumption metering, etc.
- Create, maintain and advance a Community of Practice for Ammonia Technicians from all Aspire sites.
- Ensures bakeries maintain records of planned and completed maintenance for PSM/RMP compliance – monthly PSM meetings.
- Assists in annual budget preparation as it relates to steam, refrigeration, compressed air, energy, facility support equipment, wastewater and environmental compliance
- Keeps abreast of the latest manufacturing technologies, systems, and engineering concepts to continually provide improvement feedback to all Bakeries
- Assesses, trains, mentors, and motivates bakery leaders. Provides appropriate training and development to optimize their performance and personal growth.
- Communicates performance standards and expectations to bakeries, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishments and counseling performance problems.
- Performs other related responsibilities as needed
- 7+ years of operations and maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment requiring knowledge of ammonia refrigeration, steam, compressed air, wastewater, industrial electrical systems, and automated manufacturing process controls
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions. Ability to complete forms detailing maintenance work performed.
- Oral Communication - Listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; participates in meetings.
- Knowledge of Windows; Microsoft Office, AutoCAD; Internet software; CMMS software is required
- Working knowledge of spoken Spanish is preferred.
