In this role, you’ll play an important part in supporting mammalian cell culture processes that help us manufacture life-changing therapeutic proteins. You’ll work hands-on in the lab, running shake flask and bioreactor experiments and performing tasks like sampling, inoculation, feeding, and harvesting.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative lab environment, learning new techniques, and contributing to meaningful work that impacts patients’ lives.Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday, 10-hour shiftThis role may require occasional evening or weekend work to support experiments.RESPONSIBILITIESYou’ll work closely with the lab supervisor and project leads to support a variety of upstream process development activities, including:Running bench-scale bioreactor and shake flask experiments using aseptic techniquesSampling shake flasks and bioreactorsUsing cell counting and chemical analytical equipmentAccurately recording data in batch records and lab notebooksDeveloping skills in cell culture operations like cell passaging, bioreactor inoculation, transfection, cloning, cell imaging, and cryopreservationPreparing media and buffers for experimentsCoordinating with project leads on operations and schedulesWorking with MSAT teams on transfer dates and timesHelping transfer materials and inoculate satellite bioreactorsMonitoring satellite bioreactors dailySupporting additional experiments as needed, such as harvest characterizationChecking data integrityAdditional SupportAssisting with validation projects and onboarding new lab equipmentSupporting both Microbial and Mammalian labs when neededManaging equipment through BMRAM, including requesting asset IDs, monitoring calibration schedules, and removing items from calibrationOther ContributionsTroubleshooting and solving basic technical issues with guidanceContributing ideas for process and workflow improvementsREQUIREMENTSPrevious lab experience, either academic or industrialComfortable working with computers and analytical equipmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to troubleshoot and solve problemsCan work both independently and as part of a teamWillingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends when experiments requireAble to lift up to 40 pounds and perform lab tasks that require manual dexterityDetail-oriented, dependable, organized, and ready to handle both routine tasks and learn new skillsHands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, media preparation, and aseptic technique preferredEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEA.A. or B.S. in life sciences or engineering, plus 2–4 years of relevant experience.Compensation Range: $66,960.00 - $92,070Our culture at AGC Biologics is defined by the six core values: Knowledge, Trust, Quality, Ingenuity, Accountability and Teamwork.
