Opportunity at a GlanceACAMS is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented accounting manager to join our team. In this role, you will be primarily accountable for a broad range of global accounting support to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely compliance-related audit support and government filings within ACAMS. You will play a key role in working closely with external parties across the globe to prepare and gather supporting documentation for statutory filings and audits required for various legal entities. The Accounting Manager will report to the Senior Accounting Manager. In addition, this person will handle other duties and special projects as assigned.Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage external international financial statements and audits, including preparation and submission of audit documentation.
  • Responsible for ensuring audit and tax deadlines are met for all entities under scope.
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of GAAP financial statements to statutory reporting and tax filings.
  • Work with international accounting and support staff residing in different time zones.
  • Ensure understanding of transfer pricing calculations, purpose and compliance.
  • Prepares or liaises external parties with statutory filings for government and other authorities.
  • Ensures intercompany and entity related transactions are processed and recorded properly.
  • Drives changes in processes through use of automation and technology including full utilization of the company’s close automation tool.
  • Participate in monthly close financial meetings with management to discuss and evaluate monthly financial results.
  • Provide essential control functions (accounting and financial systems), including, but not limited to account reconciliations, general ledger account analyses, and review of and updates to control matrices.
  • Preparation of periodic financial statements; investigation and reporting of variance analysis.
  • Support the annual external consolidated audit process for the company. This includes the preparation, compilation, and submission of required analyses and schedules.
  • Contribute to a continuous improvement environment, including review of tasks, processes, and workflows within the department for maximum efficiency, productivity, and development.
  • Foster an environment of collaboration amongst the collective team as well as with the other teams within the Accounting/Finance function.
  • Completes other duties and special projects as assigned.
QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Below are the minimum requirements of the education, experience, knowledge, and skills required to competently perform in this position.
  • Bachelor of Science, Accounting; CPA preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in accounting/finance related field; public accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience with international statutory accounting is required.
  • Experience with intercompany accounting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP is required and experience with IFRS is a plus.
  • Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ERP systems knowledge; NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and ability to deliver very high-quality output.
  • Self-motivating, highly organized individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to effectively multi-task and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to collaborate remotely and across different time zones.
  • Must have the ability to facilitate teamwork and cooperation at all levels within the organization, as well as with external parties, and be able to work with limited supervision.
