- Work schedule - 3 weeks of continuous travel, followed by 1 week off - no work, it's your time.
- Live anywhere in the U.S. We fly you to work sites. We pay for flights, hotels, plus per diem.
- Due to extended hours during operation, with overtime, you'll earn more than on a regular 40-hour work schedule.

- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in the railroad industry maintaining electrical, electromechanical, or mechanical systems, involving troubleshooting and problem resolution with at least 3 years operating ultrasonic rail flaw inspection systems on rail vehicles with strong knowledge of the theory of operation and interpretation of A and B-scan data.
- Level II (two) certification in Ultrasonic Rail Flaw inspection technology (UT/NDT) or able to acquire Level II qualification within 4 weeks of employment.
- Railroad environment/industry experience
- Familiarity with 49 CRF parts 213 and 214
- Experience with workplace safety programs.
- Proficiency with computer applications such as MS Word; Excel; PowerPoint; and Outlook.
- Experience reading electrical or electronic schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience conducting equipment/machinery inspections (periodic maintenance inspection, preventative maintenance) and equipment upkeep.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Operating System; transferring files on a network, copying, and pasting.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with tape measure and similar measuring tools.
- Functional knowledge of mathematics and fraction measurements.
- Valid Driver's License (need to complete a DOT (Department of Transportation) medical examination to acquire a Commercial Driver Medical Certification)
- Lift and carry 50 lbs. a distance of at least 150 feet.
- Climb a ladder 15 feet high, in order to access roof spaces of survey vehicles.
- Work in close quarters, under and about survey vehicles.
- Work in inclement weather.
- Work 12 hours or longer.
- Perform as a safety watchman in a railroad environment. Passing a Federal pre-employment drug test is a requirement prior to performing duties in this position. Undergoing and passing a random drug and alcohol testing is a condition while performing duties in this position.
Wearing safety equipment (hard hat, steel-toe boots, protective vest, and protective eyeglasses) when working on railroad properties is also a requirement.
