  • Receives exposure to all basic functions of assigned group within the financial industry
  • Exposed to a wide range of tasks including research, administrative and correspondence work and attend meetings
  • Provides assistance in projects
  • Gains valuable insight within a variety of functions while strengthening core skills and knowledge needed to launch a successful career
  • Responsibilities will vary by internship
This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.Requirements
  • A college student who has interest in developing technical skills and gaining work experience
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week for 10 weeks

Regions Bank is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Finance Interns to join our dynamic team for the Summer 2026 internship program. This opportunity will provide hands-on experience in various finance functions, including Corporate Finance, Treasury, and Accounting. Interns will have the chance to contribute to value-added projects and learn from experienced professionals in the field.At Regions, the Financial Development Program (FDP) Intern program is focused on internship associates developing valuable skills and gaining an understanding of the Finance organization at Regions Bank. Throughout the internship, associates may participate in data analytics, preparation of detailed reports and presentations, and contribute to strategic initiatives among other opportunities. Interns will gain practical experience and enhance their skills through meaningful work assignments and training sessions. During the program, interns will build valuable connections with industry and organization professionals and fellow interns. At the end of the program, interns will possess a core set of skills that will be critical for their long-term success.Interns can expect to work in one of the following functional areas of the Finance organization:
  • Corporate Treasury functions
  • Corporate Finance functions, including Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Accounting functions
  • Investor Relations functions
  • Corporate Development
  • Corporate Strategy
Primary Responsibilities
  • Contributes to the formation of financial risk-management-style reporting and analysis
  • Participates in forecasting revenue and expenses, and analyzing financial results
  • Creates pertinent reporting and ad hoc business/product analysis
  • Interacts with middle and senior management across multiple bank business units
  • Researches, prepares, and applies corporate accounting principles
Requirements
  • A student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week for 10 weeks
