The global supply chain also includes cultured and wild species from a network of trusted sources worldwide.Shifts Available: Swing and GraveSummary: The Maintenance Mechanic repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.Key Responsibilities:
  • Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts.
  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Lubricates and cleans parts, equipment, and machinery.
  • Tests and adjusts equipment to meet performance specifications.
  • Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, saws, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
  • Sharpens and reshapes tools as necessary.
  • Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
  • Repairs electrical equipment.
  • Follows plant food safety policies and industry best practices.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
  • All other duties as assigned.
This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $22 to $33.56.Trident Seafoods offers a comprehensive and quality benefits package.   • A minimum of 1 year of experience in Production Maintenance.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year certificate from college or technical school.
  • 5 years of experience in production maintenance.
  • Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and bagging machines.
Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.The employee moves objects.regularly up to 10 poundsfrequently up to 25 poundsoccasionally up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.Work authorizations:
