Description :GENERAL DISCRIPTIONResponsible for the account management, development and growth of Crane Solutions’ client base. Works closely with leadership team to enhance service offerings, marketing materials and achieving company revenue, net revenue and net income goals. Supervises Account Managers, Account Executives and Operations Associates. Builds relationships with company stations and sales personnel to secure new business and grow existing business.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Supervises staff involved in sales and revenue growth
Manages the implementation of new business to ensure a successful start-up
Develops accounts to increase revenue share by securing new lanes and new projects, as well as additional service offerings
Ensures the achievement of client specific key performance indicators
Develops and administers client specific scorecards
Plan and monitor daily staffing schedules, and adjusts accordingly to ensure adequate staffing levels that support operational demands and business objectives
Establish individual and team goals to budget
Maintains sales pipeline
Oversees collection efforts to ensure timely payment
Trains, develops and motivates employees to peak performance and growth in their knowledge and responsibilities
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED/Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 10 years’ brokerage experience, including 5 years in management of a brokerage operation
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Technical aptitude: Microsoft Office, Transportation/Warehouse Management Systems, Microsoft Visio, Transportation Analysis Tools, Network analysis tools, Simulation and Inventory tools, Data visualization including Tableau, Spotfire and PowerBI
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High degree of organizational skills
Demonstrates effective negotiation and closing techniques
Strong understanding of the truckload industry to include equipment types, carrier capabilities, pricing and regulations
Strong understanding of US Geography
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Works well in a team environment
