- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Medicine
- Current CA license & DEA license
- At least 1-year of addiction medicine/family medicine experience required
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
- Knowledge of chemical dependency/Addictions
- Ability to assess patient’s physical/emotional condition in a short period of time
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with staff
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality, compliance with HIPAA policy and procedures
- Assistance as needed with development of clinical policies, procedures and training
- Assistance as needed with completion of Federal, state, county and other regulatory applications, permits, licensure, inspections, etc.
- Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, documents health history and examination results to meet Federal and state guidelines and refers patient for care elsewhere when indicated (including appropriate follow up)
- Supervises the administration of medications
- Confers with patient’s private physician as needed
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulations, in addition to the standards required by JCAHO/CARF/COA, Board of Health, and OSHA
