Location Type: On-site (Phoenix, AZ)Our client is looking for a Chief Credit Officer to join their team!Position Summary:The Chief Credit Officer (CCO) is responsible for leading all credit decisioning and portfolio monitoring activities for all loan types, including but not limited to: Commercial & Industrial (C&I), Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Business Lending, Asset Based Lending (ABL), Equipment Lending & Leasing, Government Guaranteed Lending, and Small Business Administration (SBA) lending. This position requires a senior and highly experienced credit leadership executive who can balance strategic vs tactical and risk vs. Reward issues. The successful candidate will likely have prior loan workout and restructuring experience and be able to apply past lessons learned to ensure that loans are properly underwritten, all risks are identified and that the loan structure is designed to mitigate identified risks. Chairs the bank’s Management Credit Committee, manages and supervises credit and portfolio management staff, maintains favorable relationships with regulators and auditors, serves as a key member of the Bank’s executive leadership team and helps the bank achieve its strategic objectives in an efficient, timely, client focused and cost effective manner.Qualifications:
- 15+ years’experience and advanced knowledge and understanding of C&I, CRE, ABL, SBA and Government Guaranteed Lending.
- Recruit, train, develop, coach, manage and lead a credit admin, underwriter, analyst and portfolio monitoring team.
- Coordinate all activities of SBA and Business Lenders to ensure tasks and deliverables are timely completed.
- Utilize analytical skills, perform underwriting and spreading analysis, to make critical credit recommendations and decisions.
- Possess personal lending credit authority and serve as Chair of the Management Credit Committee.
- Advanced understanding of technology tools including Hubspot, Abrigo, LaserPro, FIS Horizon, H360.
- Assist in evaluating loan profitability, loan terms, pricing, covenants and ensure desired margins are obtained.
- Perform rigorous analysis of transactions and resolve problem accounts.
- Ensure compliance in credit, lending and bank policies and procedures.
- Anticipate and manage change in a quickly moving business environment.
- Comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations.
