Structured Cabling EstimatorPosition OverviewThe cabling estimator is responsible for assessing project requirements, analyzing specifications, and providing accurate cost estimates for structured cabling projects.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review drawing, specifications, and all other construction documents to understand project requirements.
  • Perform site visits to gather relevant information about existing infrastructure, requirements, and potential challenges.
  • Log project information in CRM.
  • Respond to bid specifications, write detailed and concise scope of work, develop cost estimates, predict duration of the project.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor hours, material costs, and equipment expenses, and any other related expenses.
  • Create and submit proposals, including cost breakdowns, technical specs, and supporting documentation.
  • Participate in scope review/leveling meetings with clients.
  • Participate in project meetings with clients and estimating team.
  • Interact with vendors to secure best pricing.
  • Participate in handoff meetings with the operations team to explain job scope, potential areas of attention, and other aspects to ensure a successful transition of the project.
  • Price change orders in coordination with operations department.
  • Stay informed about current trends and technological advancements in our industry.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of overall structured cabling commercial integration industry estimating projects.
  • Experience and knowledge of cabling/ low voltage industry experience.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and various estimating software.
  • Highly organized and self-managed with the ability to keep consistent workflow moving through estimating department.
  • Ability to build rapports with teammates, clients,

  • Must pass a background check.
