Shift/Schedule: Full Time (40 hrs/wk)GENERAL SUMMARYThe Medical Imaging Transporter reports to the Manager of Support Services and Transporters. The Transporter's primary job function is to transport patients to/from Medical Imaging testing and other treatment/procedure areas as needed and monitor patent holding area.QUALIFICATIONSEducation:
  • High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required
Licensure:
  • BLS required within three months of hire, or as soon as arrangements can be made
Experience:
  • Previous patient care or Radiology experience preferred
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONSThe following is a summary of the major job duties of this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. * Performs patient transport to and from requesting department,inputs information into RIS.
  • Assist technologist with patient positioning.
  • Maintains effective communication with departments regarding requested patients' transportation, including any delays
  • Monitors and orders 02 supplies, completes daily safety check-off list which includes monitoring of blanket warmer temperatures.
  • Maintains knowledge of equipment and computer systems.
  • Monitors patients while in patient holding area.
  • Behaves in a professional manner (includes not abusing telephone/internet privileges, breaks, socializing and being consistently punctual, etc.). Acknowledges and adheres to the “Standards of Behavior” handbook.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
