- Work on systems administration-related issues with hardware and software for different network environments.
- Support deployment of custom software solutions integrating COTS, GOTS, and developed software.
- Propose system administration process improvement to reduce maintenance requirements by working with the design team and manufacturers.
- Determines system requirements, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and system configuration maintenance.
- Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies.
- Develops and recommends corrective actions.
- May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies, especially VMWare, to include infrastructure and automation of those environments.
- Skills in logical/physical architecture modeling and knowledge of CI/CD pipeline architecture, RAM, Mission Assurance, Safety, and cyber security concepts.
- 3-5 years experience in Cloud technology and concepts and continuous integration environments in Network, Software, or platform infrastructure capability automation, development, and deployment.
- Experience with Linux/UNIX or Windows system administration.
- Experience with a shell scripting language (e.g., Python, Powershell, etc.).
- An active Secret clearance is required to start.
- 9 years with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 7 years with a Master’s degree or 13 years experience in lieu of a degree.
- Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II, IAM Level III or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
- Effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.
- Skills in logical/physical architecture modeling and knowledge of CI/CD pipeline architecture, RAM, Mission Assurance, Safety, and cyber security concepts are highly desirable.
- Able to work independently / solo on large projects; at other times, will be in a collaborative team environment with other DevSecOps engineers and other program development and deployment teams.
- Experience with automation/configuration management using Ansible, GitLab, Nexus, or other equivalent technology.
