- Team Leadership: Manage daily operations of the accounting department. Actively manage, support, train, mentor, and motivate a team of 5-7 employees responsible for ensuring the company’s financial integrity.
- Internal Controls: Develop and maintain effective internal controls and implement policies to safeguard company assets, manage financial risk, and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Accounting Operations: Manage the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, the monthly reconciliation of revenues received from operating locations, and facilitate processing revenue-share payments to counterparties. Actively manage ongoing contractual updates to ensure proper monthly processing of monthly lease payments, and review transactions for accuracy.
- Audit & Compliance: Coordinate internal and external audits, ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements. Facilitate annual and concessionaire audits with third party auditors.
- Cash Management: Monitor cash flow, working capital, banking relationships, and Treasury operations. Provide Treasury strategy development, including reviewing and negotiating bank fees, and improvement of Treasury reporting visibility.
- Systems & Process Improvement: Evaluate and improve financial systems, workflows, and reporting tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Assist in NetSuite ERP system optimization and actively modify the system to meet evolving business needs.
- Cross Functional Support: Liaise with Central Operations, Field Operations, Business Development, and Executive Management to create a strong Accounting foundation for company growth, and ensure processes are in place to minimize risk and provide accurate financial reporting.
- Strategic Guidance: Partner closely with the CFO and Senior Director of Finance on key initiatives. Provide guidance and strategic support for merger and acquisition activity and integrations.
- Ad-Hoc Support: Provide additional support around areas including forecasting, cash flow planning, casualty insurance, research and development credits, and tax preparation and payments.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- CPA qualification highly preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or similar area of responsibility.
- Minimum 3 years of direct management experience.
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment with strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proven change management leadership capability and strong analytical skills.
- Experience working with private equity ownership, preferred.
- Demonstrated strong business acumen as defined by a proven track record of success.
- Strong financial, accounting, and analytical skills; must be proficient in reading, interpreting, and analyzing financial statements.
