Please to apply internally.This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: The Madison Club, set outside of La Quinta, CA.The Madison Club is seeking a Locker Room Attendant to join the Spa Department.The Locker Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring the standards of cleanliness in assigned guest rooms are achieved and maintained on a consistent basis to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction in cleanliness and service. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.Key Responsibilities
  • Maintains cleanliness of club locker rooms, including lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas.
  • Empties wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal.
  • Replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom linens.
  • Keeps housekeeping caddy clean, stocked, and orderly at all times.
  • Washes windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as needed.
  • Clean wash basins, mirrors, commodes, tubs, and showers daily.
  • Dusts and polish furniture and equipment.
  • Follows through on lost and found procedures. No articles shall be removed from occupied rooms. Absolute respect for guest property should always be exercised.
  • Follow procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing, or moving of objects/materials and/or the clean-up of blood, infectious materials, or body fluids containing blood in accordance with the OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standards.
  • Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets, loose tile, broken windowpanes, missing nuts or screws, etc.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least one year of hospitality or customer service experience preferred.
  • Prior housekeeping/custodial experience preferred.
  • Prior experience with Residential, HOA and/or large expansive resort communities.
  • Excellent grooming standards and demeanor.
Additional Requirements
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
