Holding the senior financial position will require optimization of return on financial assets by establishing procedures, controls, policies, and reporting systems. As the Controller, daily responsibilities will consist of accounts payable, accounts receivable, maintaining precise record keeping, banking, including opening new accounts, daily reconciliation of deposits, money transfers, and paying loans. Other responsibilities of the Controller include annual insurance renewals, monthly bonuses, new construction accounting, preparing profit and loss statements, preparing and remitting annual sales tax, and any other tax necessities. The Controller will also assist with annual budget planning and will act as the point of contact for annual insurance audits. Excellent time management skills are essential to ensure all reports are well prepared and on time.
