Position SummaryThe University of New Mexico's Project ECHO has an exciting opportunity for a New Mexico Programs' Grant Manager to support our New Mexico Programs Team! This position will oversee a state grant portfolio totaling just under $4 million and play a critical role in managing strong relationships with grant funders and overseeing multiple stakeholder groups to ensure grant compliance. ECHO's New Mexico Programs aim to expand public health programming for rural and underserved areas within the state.
As a successful NM Program Grants Manager, you will play an active role in collaborating with NM Programs' leadership and other organizational team members to:
- Responsible for the coordination resource planning, budget planning and pre-planning operations for NM Programs Grants.
- Manage coordination resource planning, budget planning, and pre-planning operations for NM Programs Grants
- Coordinate collaboration, development, and preparation of assigned New Mexico ECHO grants that include the following:
- CDC Advancing Health Equity in Diabetes
- FORE Vulnerable Families and Children
- HRSA Telehealth Technology-Enabled Learning Program (TTELP)
- Con Alma Health Foundation
- USB Optimus
- SOR New Mexico CHW/PSW Opioid TeleECHO Program
- Designs and implements systems to track and monitor grant work plans, deliverables, activities, milestones, and accomplishments.
- Creates and distributes grant summaries and achievements
- Ensure grants are in compliance with grant deliverables and funding requirements; provide guidance and support in the identification and development of grant opportunities
- Design and implement systems to track and monitor grant work plans, deliverable, activities, milestones, and accomplishments
- Collaborate across organizational teams and university departments to provide strategic direction in the planning, development, and implementation of Grants deliverables and reporting processes, including but not limited to Grants, Replication, NM Programs, Communications and Marketing, Education, Finance, REDI, JAO, IT, iECHO, IRB, etc.
- Provide grant reports and program updates in support of promoting existing programs and ensure frequent and timely communication with funders and NM Programs Director and Deputy Director
- Provide leadership and collaborates with the NM Programs Team and Director of NM Programs with grant prospect research and identifying potential grant opportunities based on the NM Programs Team needs and strategic goals
- Collaborate with the Medical or Program Directors and Senior Program Managers to conceptualize programs and assist with pre-planning tasks
- Provide strategic advance and consultation to leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of modifications and enhancements to existing grant procedures and systems
- Maintain knowledge of grant deliverables and communicate grant issues and modifications to NM Programs staff regarding grant deliverables, grant budgeting, and changes to scope of work within assignment grants
Minimum QualificationsSuccessful completion of at least 60 college-level credit hours; at least 4 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters Degree; 3-4 years experience
- Experience in preparing complex and detailed documents for funding proposals, including budgets and budget narratives
- Knowledge of grant requirements and systems and experience preparing grant submissions
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects at once and communicate effectively
