Overview:Kimley-Horn is looking for a CAD Operator to join our Development Services team in Alpharetta, Georgia, (GA)! This is an on-site position. Responsibilities:
  • The person in this position will use basic computer drafting software to generate site plans and construction drawings for Kimley-Horn projects
  • Designing and producing sets of plans; implementing and managing AutoCAD drafting and plan preparation standards
  • Assists in maintaining drawing database
  • Performs routine analysis to check accuracy of data
  • Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards
Qualifications:
  • Strong expertise in preparing construction plans for residential land development and/or commercial site development, including the ability to determine drawing sequence, required details, and overall plan presentation
  • Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D, with a solid understanding of manual CAD drafting techniques and industry standards
  • High school diploma with 2+ years of experience and/or Associates Degree in related field
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
  • Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn
  • Experience preparing grading and drainage plans is required
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
