  • Set-up and operate the NC PEM machine (single or multi feed) based on the type of fasteners required for the product.
  • Upload and execute programs as required to make product.
  • Create new programs.
  • Read Blue prints to ensure quality is meeting customer expectations.
  • Support production including projects directed by supervision.
  • Achieve and exemplary level of quality performance with the goal of zero defects.
  • Validate parts meet customer expectations, 1st piece and in process verification.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience with pallet jacks and forklift for material handling.
  • Can stand continuous for scheduled work shift.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to squat, kneel and stand frequently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Meet productivity expectations for product run, demonstrating excellent hand/eye coordination.
  • Operate in a safe manner
  • Demonstrate reliability through outstanding punctuality and attendance
  • Use of hand-held tools, including Riv-nut gun, grinders, etc.
  • Work independently or in a team work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Welding experience not necessary, but would be a positive.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
